Robert Ferrier worked 30 years as a research administrator at a major university before retiring to devote more time to writing. A 25-year cancer survivor, Robert is a Hospice Volunteer. He loves to read fiction. His favorite authors include Gary Paulsen, Cynthia Rylant, Philip Pullman, Louis Sachar, J. R. R. Tolkien, Tony Hillerman, Elmore Leonard, Tom Wolfe and J. K. Rowling.
Recently Robert has published poems appearing in Oklahoma Today, Mid-America Poetry Review, Blood & Thunder, Crosstimbers, Westview, Metro Library Magazine, The Raintown Review and Möbius.
Robert lives in Oklahoma with his wife.

Accomplishments

I've written feature articles in regional publications, taught fiction techniques at a writing conference and have spoken to groups on electronic publishing. "Dear Mr. Kapps" has been selected as one of the three best e-books for 2000 by The McQuark Review (http://www.mcquark.com). In 2006 I was one of 13 poets nominated for Oklahoma Poet Laureate.
