As a kid growing up in the 50’s life was always a 20 minute train ride from Yankee Stadium. It was a time of simple pleasures, of growing up slowly. Our “playground” were the streets; we were “street wise”, but not “street kids”. I was brought up with a sense of family, “la famiglia” as my dad would say.
