Born in London, England more years ago than she cares to remember, Kate Saundby was educated in England and Belgium and emigrated to the U.S. in 1957 as a GI bride. Widowed in 1989, she remarried in 1993, and has two grown sons and four grandchildren. Her younger son, Nicholas Krueger, an award-winning graphic artist, has produced many of her book covers.
