The story inside begs to come out and is granted somewhere along life's path. Mine began when I was an undergraduate at the University of Kansas. Journalism was quickly ruled out because my reporting was too creative. I went on to a career in foreign languages, mainly teaching them, but that unfulfilled desire to write nevervanished. Short stories and poetry kept on emerging in literary reviews and journals. They were a satisfying hobby. I retired and began traveling more and more with my husband.
