Aja Alycean (pronounced Asia Allison - yeah, it's her real name)
Well maybe I should start off by telling you a little bit about myself.
I’ve been singing since I could talk! Or at least that’s what my mom says.
Anyway, all I know is that I absolutely LOVE to sing, so much that my brothers try to get me to shut up. But that’s almost impossible. Speaking of brothers, I have two of them. A twin brother named Jory, and an older brother named Rio. My brothers are cool and we all get along pretty well. Jory will sing with me when we are just listening to random songs. He’s really good at harmonizing and beat boxing. But his true love is video games. Rio on the other hand does his best to annoy me every chance he gets, but we love each other. He and I share similar passions. We both love to play volleyball, tennis, soccer, football…pretty much all sports. And he is extremely good at guitar!
We all live in the prettiest part of San Diego County. Mountains surround our home and the sun is always shining. I was born in San Diego…true California girl. I love animals…all animals. In fact, that’s why I am a vegetarian. Let me tell you about my pets. We keep trying to add more to the family, but our house is pretty full right now. We currently have 2 dogs: a labradoodle named Levi, and a standard poodle named Juneau. Juneau is a gem, plain and simple! She is so sweet and gentle. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. Levi, our labradoodle is often called the “labradork”. Really, he is totally crazy! He eats everything, and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. But once he is calm, he’s the cutest puppy ever. I also have two guinea pigs, Cookie and Patches. They are old, but we love em’. And last but not least, our kitty, Elphie (short for Elphaba, the wicked witch from the play Wicked). She is the most awesome cat in the world. My CD SMACK DAB is on sale now on CD Baby! Please keep checking back to see what's going on.
Accomplishments: From community theatre to radio contests to singing the National Anthem for the San Diego Padres, Aja’s dream and passion is performing. In December of 2007 she entered a radio contest on KSON in San Diego and won the chance to sing with Billy Ray Cyrus at the Carols by Candlelight concert, a benefit, for the Make a Wish Foundation. She and Billy Ray sang to a sold out crowd of 1,500 and Aja left the audience wanting more. Since then, Aja started to write and record original music and currently has scheduled some concert dates at the San Diego and Orange County Fairs. We hope you can make it!
While endless melodies are playing in her head, Aja is playing on the volleyball court with her teammates. She hits the courts 3 times a week and loves every minute of it. School, music, sports, boys and texting her friends occupy most of her day like most 12-year old girls. And when Aja is home, she is surrounded by her loving family, two parents, two brothers, 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 guinea pigs.
