Alex exists only intermittently in the real world. She's led a Saxon shield wall into battle and served as a Georgian kitchen maid, but she still can't operate a mobile phone.

Background Information

Although I've written short stories and novels since I was 11, 2007 was the first year I finally got myself together to submit anything. That book, a gay historical romance is due to be published on the first of January 2008.

My major influences would be Tolkien, Ursula Le Guin, Mary Renault, Jane Austen, Isaac Asimov and Patrick O'Brian. I love fiction which takes the reader to another world and makes that world every bit as real as the one we normally live in. I like romance with my adventure and adventure with my romance.

Birth Place
Belfast,  N.Ireland
Accomplishments

'Captain's Surrender,' my first book, won Linden Bay Romance's annual 'Starlight Writing Competition' against entrants from all over the world.

Additional Information

Captain's Surrender was released on the 1st of January 2008, and The Witch's Boy, my dark fantasy, was released in March 2008.

My new novel, False Colors, is due to come out on the 6th of April from Running Press, a subsidiary of Perseus Books. 'False Colors' is a m/m Age of Sail historical romance, twice the size of Captain's Surrender, and (IMO) a better book.

I also have a Georgian Ghost story, the novella 'The Wages of Sin' due out in October 2009 in an anthology called 'The Mysterious' along with stories by Josh Lanyon and Laura Baumbach.
