Very few espionage thrillers are written by people "in the business". John Le Carré was one such author, having introduced the genre itself with THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD. In his novel, MERIDIAN, Andrew Ceroni also brings to his writing years of experience in foreign counterintelligence operations throughout the world and draws on those experiences in adding realism to his storylines.

He authored several manuals for the federal government regarding counterespionage, antiterrorism and surveillance operations techniques. Mr. Ceroni received his B.S. Degree from the U. S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO, and his M.A. Degree from the School of Graduate Studies, Case Western University, Cleveland, OH. He also completed studies in the German and French languages at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. In addition, he is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute, DEA Drug Enforcement Officer Course, FBI Special Operations and Antiterrorism (SOARS) Program, CIA Foreign Counterintelligence Training, DOD Contract Fraud Investigations School, OSI Special Investigations Academy, and various other intelligence and law enforcement training programs.
