Antoinette is blessed to be married to her best friend and husband, Jivantoro Mentís. She has been with him for over 16 years. He is a traditional fine artist painter and together they spend their hours and days creating from within their home in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Mentís is at the easel each day, and she is with her pen.
She has five grown children and two grandchildren. The children are her blessings, and the grandchildren are her little angels. Countless moments with them are treasured by her and she enjoys watching them grow.
Antoinette has written poetry for almost 40 years. She is inspired by all the old masters of poetry like Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and Shakespeare. In addition she is inspired by other wonderful poets such as Kay Ryan, Louise Gluck and Rita Dove.
She recently got into songwriting as a lyricist and is currently working with a wonderful musician and vocalist named Steve Jai who lives in West Virginia. 2 of her recent song recordings are on Soundclick by Steve Jai. The links to her songs are on the bottom of this page. Antoinette and Steve have many more song compilations in the works and hope to have their first album soon.
