Retired art, music, special education teacher. Mother of two daughters and one son. The older son went to heaven at age 34. We celebrate Dec 1, his birthday. Married 50 years to my childhood sweetheart, a retired electrical contractor, state representative. We are enjoying retirement- spending much time at Lake Texhoma, traveling, teaching Bible Studies. (Father was a Presbyterian Minister, Mother was an RN with a BS, both grew up in New Jersey.) Completed college at age 27 with 3 children at home. Completed MS while teaching and older daughter babysat. Drove 80 miles by carpooling. Then taught art, music and learning disabilities. Son is a CPA with a soft beverage company; daughter #1 is an RN with a BS; daughter #2 is an OB.GYN.Surgeon. Six grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. (Five are girls!!)Published two books, over 2,000 sold! 2005 OWFI Trophy winner. Working on another to be out next year. Past officer of Delta Kappa Gamma; Past president of Southern Oklahoma Writers; current president of the Ardmore Art Guild. Three times Moderator of local Presbyterian Women. Paint in oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, collage', printmaking, clay or mixed media. Many art works in shows awarded my work with Best of Show, Judges Award, Honorable Mention, or sales for art work, and for writing, b third place for a children's book and the illustrations. Currently accepting consignments for writing and for art work. Charter member of Women of the Arts Museum in Washington, D.C. Just recently was accepted in Who's Who in American Women. 1990 Who's Who American Educators. Do you know how much God loves you? May you be blessed today.
