Major Influence:
My major influence was a quote I heard when I was14 which was to reach for the furthest star, and I would get at least half-way there. I've always believed that.
I also believe a writer should write about what interests them. I've never followed trends in my life. Trends change, so if a writer's heart isn't in it, why bother?
That's why I write about ghosts. I've always been fascinated by them, and have studied them, reading everything I could about them. This led me to the realization they are like people - only dead. They all have their own personalities, likes, dislikes, etc. Knowing that, in addition to other facts about them, writing about them is easy, and I feature them in all my stories.
I'm in love with love too, and in addition to writing Gothics under Ayn Hunt, I write steamy Romances under Ayn Amorelli.

UNWILLING KILLERS, my first mystery, ISBN 1591291844, came out from PublishAmerica in June 2002 and features a haunted house as the setting. To get my book off to a successful start, I launched my nonfiction newsletter about ghosts at the same time.
I've been interviewed by the print media twice. Once was in the Houston Chronicle and the most recent was in the 1960 Sun. Quoting from the interview in the 1960 Sun, entitled "Ayn Hunt Turns Ghostly Interest in Writing Success," it says "Hunt, who is the author of a nonfiction newsletter about ghosts, has done extensive research on them and says there are certain facts that one should adhere to when writing about ghosts to makewriting about ghosts more realistic. ... You must keep in mind that many ghosts don't know they are dead and live in the past, so they believe you're invading their space, not the other way around."
My third book, THE HAUNTING, out from Wings-ePress.com in both printed form and ebook, has received a wonderful reviews, the latest of which is at www.enchantedinromance/thehaunting_jodi.htm:
REVIEW: Denise Fleischer of GottaWriteNetwork.com reviewed THE HAUNTING and says, in part, "THE HAUNTING has the feel of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. You find yourself creeping in the dark, dusty damp rooms of a dondemned home which was once known for its elaborate parties."
CONTRACT BRIDE(my 4th book [under Ayn Amorelli])Publisher: Black Velvet Seductions, is a Romance that zoomed to the best-seller list of Fictionwise.com, even outselling Dan Brown's Angels & Demons for a while.
All my books can be ordered through Amazon.com or through the publisher, and for authograph copies, please contact me here for details.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE INTERESTED IN GHOSTS:
my new newsletter, entitled Haunted Happenings is now featured on Gotta Write Network URL http://www.GottaWriteNetwork.com. Or, if you like, drop me a line to start receiving it. It's free, of course, and comes out the end of every month.
PROLOGUE OF UNWILLING KILLERS:
From their hiding place high in the attic, the two men watched from a narrow window as the little blonde got out of the cab. Judging by the numerous suitcases the dirver was depositing beside her, it was clear the little lady planned to stay awhile.
Absently, Brent fingered the reassuring steel of the Smith & Wesson gun stuck in the waistband of his jeans. "We've got problems."
Synder nodded. "Yeah. Hell of a time for old lady Johnson to get lucky and find herself a border."
Thoughtfully, Brent stroked his dark brown mustache as he stealthily moved away from the window, his eyes locked with those of his partner. "You know what this means, don't you?" he asked, sitting down at the control console of hidden microphones and cameras he had rigged throughout the vast old mansion. "Dammit! We're nearly finished with this job. We can't risk blowing it!"
Synder glanced at the blonde again. "I agree. It's either her or us."
Brent sighed as he adjusted the focus of the hidden camera under the eaves of the broad porch. "It's a damn shame though! She is so young," he muttered, looking closely at her pretty face in the monitor. "But I'll kill her tonight. Quickly! After she goes to bed. She'll never know what hit her."
FACTS ABOUT GHOSTS: Most stay on this earth plane for various reasons: 1) they don't realize they're dead, 2) they feel compelled to stay here due to some important reason which they can't remember and are now literally lost, 3) they have loved ones here that they check on periodically, and 4) they still have goals they're trying to accomplish and simply weren't ready to die.
SOME BASIC RULES ABOUT DEALING WITH GHOSTS:
Keep in mind that you are invading their space and as such, you must respect their right to be there. They also have tempers if you don't show respect, and can retailiate. Since they have the ability to keep invisible, they have the upper hand in arguments.
SIGNS OF A HAUNTING:
A ghost will make himself or herself noticed by sight, smell, touch, or sounds. Certainly, seeing an apparition is a definite sign. Hearing footsteps when no one is there. Having the tv, radio or lights go on and off is another sign. Smelling cologne is a sure-fire sign of a female ghost. Other signs: Doors and cabinets opening and closing repeatedly, feeling a light touch at unexpected moments means a ghost wants your attention...now. But beware of this one. If the ghosts touch becomes brutal, run, don't walk to the nearest ghostbusters location. It may be that you don't have a ghost, but rather an evil spirit who has the ability to do great harm to you, and may want you to join them...on the other side. Hot spots indicate a ghost who's there temporarily. Cold spots signal a permanent spirit who's probably been in that location for a long time, and will continue to do so. The last sign is an intense feeling you're being watched ... you just KNOW it...but you can't see by whom.
I'LL BE ADDING MORE interesting facts to this site about ghosts in the future. Please drop by, and send me an email telling me how you feel about it. I'd love to hear from you! My email is AynHunt@aol.com
