I’ve been writing professionally since I was eighteen, which is a long time. I wrote for Variety, Photoplay and Prevention magazines. Actually, I was a ghostwriter, working for a nutty woman in West Hollywood. (Now there's a book idea.) I was a naïve teenager and didn’t realize that I should have my name on EVERYTHING, even if it meant sharing credit. And it still remains a major regret.

Selling my first book to Andrews McMeel in just three weeks was quite an achievement.
