Bekki is an eclectic romance writer. Whether you read her mainstreams or her erotic romances, you'll be drawn into the lives of characters who will have your emotions swirling, but also reaching for a tissue to wipe up the drool.
From a small Illinois town where there wasn't much to do but beat the boys at foot races and smack a baseball around, she escaped the tomboy era by reading.
Later, she tried her hand at writing her teen fantasies and poems for her own pleasure.
The love of writing grew into a hobby she loved doing and didn't want to share with anyone. But then, she ventured into mainstream romance novels where people have full and realistic lives. This is when she started to toy with the idea of maybe publishing something. Wary and unlearned, she didn't give the idea much time to grow. For a few years anyway.
In 2005, she decided to seriously attempt to get something published and found she had a lot to learn. With the help of wonderful and not so wonderful critters, she made headway.
Last year, she tried and failed miserably at writing short stories. She couldn't live with incomplete characters. With many revisions anda few rejections she found she could manage something a bit larger, yet not a full-length novel. Hence, her first release - A Psychic Hitch.
A Psychic Hitch was fun to write. Cheri is not you’re a-typical heroine. Bekki deliberately stepped away from the norm after finding herself burned out on ‘oh, please mister, right my world and I’ll be yours forever’ heroines.
Allen, well, he’s your typical ‘beta’ man who had that special love once and wanted to see if he could find it again. He followed his gut and went after the one woman whose aura reached through the internet and said, ‘oh, yeah, she’s the one’. Like her, he went after what he wanted any way he needed to.
They are real and she hopes readers are open to a different type heroine and hero, because that is what the restaurant series is about. The Food Service Industry is unlike any other work force and so are the people who work in it. Why shouldn't the stories about them reflect it?
Last Glass of Wine came about when Bekki lost a member of her work family unexpectedly. Though the story went through many transformations to become a piece with a little less than what really went down, the story, the characters reflect the life of food service as it really is from her thirty-one years of experience.
Her books are available at most ebook venues and the print collection can be found at most paperback venues.
Bekki has author merchandise available at two online locations.
