Calling all middle-agers and those about to take the Geritol plunge: Be on the look-out. Coming soon to a retirement home near you............
It's been a long road, but I'm finally putting the finishing touches on my latest book, aptly titled, Born Bent Over: And Flashing the Vertical Smile at Middle Age.
My latest book is a coming of age, without any grace whatsoever, collection of short stories depicting a more light hearted, comical look at the "horrors" of reaching middle age; and the rose colored glasses are off. There are no holds barred in this book. Everything from colonoscopy to hair loss is brought to bear in all its' ugly glory.
Barring any major setbacks, the book should be in bookstores everywhere somewhere within the July/August 2008 time frame. Due to pending publication, I've had to remove many of the stories I had posted here on Author's Den. Rest assured that they will be replaced by new stories very soon.
I'll be posting more information as the publication date gets closer.
As always, my most sincere thank you to all of you who have read and commented on my stories and The Paramedic. Your kind words and critique are greatly appreciated.

The Paramedic, my latest release, was a two year labor of love that completely possessed me. It started as a short story and, before I knew it, I was living at my desk, writing and rewriting, editing and molding the characters until they were exactly how I had them portrayed in the non-stop movie of the week playing in my slighty addled mind. All that intensive work paid off when the book started receiving some great reviews from noteworthy people associated with the contemporary erotic romance genre. My addiction to Dunkin Donuts coffee is an ongoing ramification of the whole process.
The Paramedic is my second full length novel. My first, The Tenderfoot's Guide to Family Camping, was released in 1999, also to some wonderful reviews. The change in genre was totally unexpected, but very welcomed.
I write because I love to write. Writing takes me away from the physical world. My office is my island; an eclectic collection of "stuff" that most would consider either wacky or just plain weird. To me, they're treasures. Every one of them has a story.
I am a voracious reader and wait eagerly for anything new by Robin Cook, Stephen King or Michael Crichton. I also love reading JulesVerne and Edgar Allan Poe, but they haven't published anything new lately.
I have been published in various ebooks, newspapers and magazines in different genres.
