Carrol Fix presents her prize-winning novel, MISHKA: Book One of the Quadrate Mind. Carrol is a passionate reader of science fiction and fantasy, an innovative website designer and a computer analyst. A former computer consultant, who has lived in five different States, Carrol currently resides near Seattle, Washington. MISHKA: Book One of the Quadrate Mind is the first in her series of epic science fiction adventures featuring the Mishka. Carrol is currently at work on the second book in the series. Book Two provides additional insight into the Mishka and their culture, while moving Allyah deeper into the mysteries of the Quadrate Mind.  Recently  retired, I am now a "Snowbird", traveling between Seattle and San Diego with the sun. I visit with my children and grandchildren in Seattle and my parents and brother in San Diego. Occasionally, I journey to the East Coast to be with my daughter and her family near Washington, DC. In between, I also visit with a host of aunts and uncles and cousins and friends, all dear to me but scattered from shore to shore. Life is good.

Mishka received the Published Fiction Third Place Award in the 2005 Arizona Literary Contest and Book Awards.
Mishka was a winner in the Pikes Peak Writers' 2000 Paul Gillette Memorial Writing Contest.
