Haywired

Dreams become nightmares that refuse to let go, and we become Haywired.
Dreams are the brilliance firing in the air,
igniting heart and soul,
and we take hold,
going crazy to burn
and to live.
But across the circuitry
do we sizzle and snap.
Step back, and then step forward once again.
We dance,
caught in vicious cycle,
and dreams become nightmares
that refuse to let go.
And we become
Haywired,
and the sun sets
over brilliance.
And life waits
to drink from its
water
and start again.
