We should not just eat whatever we want, whenever we feel like eating. We should not just do whatever feels good, or put drugs and excessive alcohol into our bodies. This makes Our Father in Heaven sad and disappointed in us. Know that this body was bought at a very expensive price; in fact, the highest price ever paid - the life of the sinless Son of God. We have invited Him to move into this house which He paid for - all we need to do is take care of it.

Get into Physical and Spiritual Shape 

Our Body is a Very Expensive House - We should console God before putting any food in our body. Why? Well it's NOT really our body! It is on loan!

Our body is not really ours to do whatever we please. We should think carefully about what we drink and eat. 

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New International Version)

19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

The ultimate argument against harming ourselves or others comes down to the Christian teaching that our bodies are spiritual temples to God, precious to Him. Damage done to our bodies is damage done to God's temple. Would it make any sense to do harm to God’s temple? Of course not--and so we're to keep our bodies pure.

Conclusion:

We have a great concern about physical health but what are we doing about it?

The Christian adds another dimension to concern for the body.

a.    The day you became a Christian, something happened to your body.   Another dimension was added to your being is your Spiritual Health.

b.    Exercise and take care of your body every day but don’t forget to pray, meditate and Praise the Lord abundantly all the time!

Pray without seizing

Treat your body like what it really is. It's the property of God!

Note: Please try to avoid eating after 7:30PM if possible (drink lots of water).
