Addune': Part I The Vampire's Game Vol.1, by Wendy Potocki, ISBN-13:978-1456468743, CreateSpace, review by ellen george

I am writing a vampire book. I swore I would hold off on reading vampire books until I finish mine, but I did something I shouldn't have - I opened up the first page of Addune' Part I: The Vampire's Game (Volume I).

I was mesmerized at sentence one.

OK I put writing my book THIRST, remember that title - (shameless self promotion here!!!) aside, and started reading.
Ms. Potocki knows how to push the reader's buttons.

It would make every Gothic novelist from the 1800's on stand up and give cheer!

Our heroine is Miranda Perry. She has returned to England to deal with her father's estate, and his solicitor, whom she loves and spars verbally with is there to help her. She must take over her father's empire. She and the solicitor go to a creepy mansion and start to categorize the treasures her father, an antiques dealer, stowed there.

Your goosebumps start to show themselves as she becomes aware that the creepy stories she is told are in truth, reality. Her father has one of the few undocumented Faberge Eggs, and that is priceless. It holds 2 rubies - one heart shaped, the other like a blood drop. Ooh - am getting chills as I write this!

She slowly becomes part of the job of authenticating this lost Russian Egg, and in the meantime, becomes the object of interest by an cunning vampire named Addune'. He is the sensual villain that will knock your socks off!

Addune' is out for vengeance, and turns to Miranda Perry to exact that vengeance.

Full of heart stopping characters and situations, this book is awesome. It is excellently edited and the book, is professionally created as well as professionally written. If any book can dispell the 'self-publishing' myth, Addune' will show the public how talented folks who self publish truly are.

The heart-stopping ending has you holding your breath and will want you yearning for more of the adventure, and luckily, Volume 2 is going to come.

This excellent book is so different from my vampire novel, I marvel at Ms. Potocki's use of words to build suspense and you get scared just reading a sentence. It is the vampire series to beat.

Click over to Amazon and buy this book. If you are a vampire fan, gothic fan, or horror fan, this book has your name all over it, but it has a chilling name on the cover - Addune'.

Well done, Ms. Potocki. Cannot wait for Volume 2. May even get my hero, vampire Phillip Constantine to have this book on his night table!!! (couldn't help another shameless plug!!) But it's a good idea!

This is a tour de force book!
