Penetrating Stare

My Spiritual Messengers This Morning...
and they were merely the length of 2 semi trucks away from me
& hells fire they do run like the wind
it is so beautiful!!

But for a split second...I thought
Crap-Shooters!! Son of a Camp Fire!!
I don't have my camera!! AURGH!!!

Penetrating Stare

In stills of the morning dew
Life’s essence offers with hooves forage
Eight young roving white tail bucks
Grazing upon the corn sheds victual bay
Kneeling with my hands buried in garden soil
Their approach steadfastly meager I peered
Through my vines of vintage tomatoes branching
Their antlers full of beautiful vascular velvets
Virile in stature’s strength taking stoutly notice
I heard their grunting snots motioning to me
Within an instant of their penetrating stares
they fled off into the groove of forest saplings…

It is going to be an amazing season this year
I thought …
(when the doe approaches estrous emitting her scent)
Knowing the clover fields attracting honey bees
will soon to be mowed into bales mounding hay…
