Book Review:

“Color My World Wonderful … Nature Poetry At Its Finest” by Patricia MacQueen ISBN: 0-9736356-2-2 P.A.M. Publishing, 94 pages, Color photos and art by Patricia MacQueen

The sub-title says this collection is nature poetry at its finest, and I heartily concur. Ms. MacQueen has used her fine artistic skills to produce a truly wonderful little book of softly pleasurable nature poems, deftly embroidered with color photos and her own exquisite art.

In reading it, I realized how kindred her soul is to mine — the universe is her playground, her garden is her home, and water is the glue that binds her world wonderfully. Backyard fishpond to babbling streams to the quiet canoe waters of Canadian lakes to the great marine oceans, and to the heavens that enclose it all, she softly intrudes on the privacy of these environs with a presence that invades not at all, but transfers their subtle hues and tints with quiet power.

This portrait of her world leaves the reader at one with a universe that the author fully accepts and conveys without regrets. Your day will be wonderfully brighter if you absorb the light of Patricia’s world.
