Rhythm of my Heart

Gently unto me

Sweet nectars

Desire within

A Mother's Day Gift

The selfishness for the goal of power and control spewed in anger, always takes its toll on the innocent ~Lily of Lough Neagh~

 Peace Broken

Another lost night

When all should be calm

Hearts render in fight

Words painful and long

For a wish just to slumber

That they may find peace

Alas but my knowing

They’ll never release

So subjected I lay there

Peace broken again

When all that is wanted

Are sweet dreams to begin

When shall they see it

For both seem are blind

The volatile ramblings

Elevating with time

Think of the children

Know wee eyes will see

All of the pain

And disharmony

For this paves their future

These sounds of the night

Instills in wee hearts

Fear and much fright

For how can you naught

Both see what you do

You think that they sleep

Through what you both do?

Are you both proud?

Of your legacy

Do you not wish

For their happiness be

Now comes the time

Please open your eyes

Long overdue

See their sad eyes

For know that you both

Their future you pave

A life of acceptance

For violence and hate

My prayers go to them

These wee little ones

The guarding of children

Their angel will come

But for now I can only

With peace broken lay

Unsettled heart

And so much dismay

Only to wish

For one peaceful night

In which is broken

May peace bring her light
