Love Endures Amidst all things

I look across the sky of summer:

Clouds build in the west…

I see uncertainty looming across the horizon of the future

And I ponder tomorrow’s fate.

My glance shifts quickly to Jan

And the sky of my future becomes clearer,

Now without reason… or understanding.

This in my season I see a passion so great.

I see true love glow like hot embers in her eyes.

I smell the sweetness of her soul

And know the truth behind a love that never dies.

Though these storms on the horizon still doth rise.

And I feel the approaching the tempest of rain.

I know that our love will abide through both joy and pain.

For in truth I do confess that neither storm nor raging sea shall keep neither Jan nor I from being blessed.

For I shall always, I mean always love her…

I will defend her and keep her from harm’s way.

For when I look into her eyes there is no more darkness,

I just see the eternal light of love each and every day.
