I can't write beautiful stuff - like Mister ED -

So, I try my hand at 'goofy' - Instead!

Critters That Rhyme

© - Tom Hyland - 2/24/10

“Aumpy” - “Bumpy” and “Crumpy”
were three male Tom-Kats -
dumped at a caring Animal Shelter.

“Dumpy” - “Eumpy” and “Frumpy”
were three female Kitty-Kats -
also abandoned there - Helter-Skelter.

“Grumpy” - “Humpy” and “Iumpy”
were three little male Puppy-Dogs -
that experienced a similar Fate.

“Jumpy” - “Klumpy” and “Lumpy”
were three cute female Pups -
that wound up at that same Gate.

“Mumpy” - “Numpy” and “Oumpy”
three colorful male Conures -
all flew in one day - looking for Food.

“Pumpy” - “Qumpy” and “Rumpty”
three similar female Birds -
of the same species - then joined the Brood.

“Stumpy” - “Trumpy” and “Umpy”
were three male Squirrels -
who already lived on the Premises.

“Vumpy” - “Wumpy” and “Xumpy”
their three sister Squirrels -
scampered all around - like Dervishes.

“Yumpy” and “Zumpy”
the two Human Shelter Operators -
gathered together all - and formed a Chorus.

And then they Exclaimed -
as they called out each Name -
“You Twenty-Four Critters -
Will Never Ever - Bore-Us!”
