MAY GOD BE WITH THOSE SOLDIERS
By Raymond Sturgis

The untimely death of American soldiers must bring us to realize that violence is a sickness that only love can cure.

MAY GOD BE WITH THOSE SOLDIERS

They fought and stood up for their

Country, now their names

will resound for eternity.

How they live will out shine

How they died, because for their country

They put their lives on the line.

In the mirror,

each day, they saw courage

and honor, knowing one day

their lives can end

by a bullet from a coward.

God is with us,

and No experiment from a scientist,

Or words of a philosopher, or bullet

from a gunmen, can

cloud our minds with distrust and disgust.

Time and time again, why do

the blood of Innocent lives have to bleed

like rain sacrificed

In order for man to express his descent of

his inner pain.

13 American soldiers killed, and

30 or more injured physically

Which leaves a family hurt mentally,

and a nation spiritually.

One nation we stand

as one, until victory is won

from our wars of disagreements

and misunderstanding amongst a

misguided person.

As embrace the love ones

that cried on each other shoulders

for another long walk into the colder

side of pain.

Let us pray that they find a way to see their

love ones again.

When we bend our knees and pray

for the blessings in our lives,

through our pain

he keeps us stronger

let us ask God to be with those

soldiers

so that the next one may live

a little longer.
