The Squirrel’s song
Sitting way up high in my acorn tree
A funny little squirrel likes to talk to me
He tells me fill the birdie feeder soon
But I just shake my head and I laugh at him
I’m not falling for his greedy whim
Or listening to his little squirrelly tune
Chitter Chatter Chitter Chatter Chitter Chee
Please climb up this tree and play with me
I don’t think that the branches really bend
Chitter Chatter Chitter Chatter Chitter Choo
If you climb up here I will play with you
And be your special acorn friend
The squirrel likes to eat my little birdies’ food
Now don’t you agree that is very rude?
He should be up there eating acorns in his tree
So he chatters at my window nearly all day long
Shouting out his busy little squirrelly song
And getting all his birdie food for free
Chitter Chatter Chitter Chatter Chitter Chee
Please climb up this tree and play with me
I don’t think that the branches really bend
Chitter Chatter Chitter Chatter Chitter Choo
If you climb up here I will play with you
And be your special acorn friend
