I have no idea where this is going but it won't be pretty!

Peridot Eyes
By La Belle Rouge

He watched her from across the room
dressed all in black, buxom and so tall
Through windows, light of orange moon
reflected on her locket, a red gem small
gracing slender neck on a chain of gold
an amulet shaped like a single tall tower
Hearth’s flame raged, he shivered cold
as her peridot eyes flashed fiery power
Her burgundy hair in candlelight shone
with strands of sunset russet and gold
a vision that would not leave eyes alone
What stories his dark imagination told
Small ornament of a sailing ship she wore
in feathered hat as she stood by the door

He had to know, must discover mysteries
The secrets of her piercing peridot eyes
Was she just the woman he obviously sees?
What darkness did her pale eyes disguise?
He moved to her side with stealth of a rat
“Good evening Lovely Lady, care to dance?”
She observed him with the cunning of a cat
Her clear peridot eyes were bold to entrance
“And what shall you give me for this dance?”
She asked with a pout and shadow of a grin
“Everything, My Sweet, give me but a chance”
He saw the fire flame in her eyes once again
He took her in his arms vowing to make her his
oblivious whatever you get, more you shall give
