...and be sure you're wearing the Green!

Limericks for St. Paddy's Day 2010

There was a young man from Deluth
who had quite an aching tooth
the pain was so bad
to his gin he'd not add
ne'er bitters nor any vermouth

I met a young man from Tralee
who's voice caused many such glee
'til he choked on a bone
and lost his fine tone
now he skreeches like a banshee.

Never build a thatch roof overhead
it will surely house bugs that you dread
to insure a good sleep
sans itchings so deep
just add a tarp o'er your bed.

(thus began the need for canopy beds!)

There was a ewe from Braedutton
o'er the fields she would go a'struttin'
came a ram who got tangled
in the briars he got mangled
and on Sunday the family had mutton.

For Eileen a prayer we will all say
for successful surgery on Wednesday (17th)
we want her to see
our smiles of glee
When her poems return to D.A.

(Den Authors, that is; A.D[ee]. didn't rhyme with "ay" :o)

I wish a Happy St. Pat's Day
to One and ALL...
