In Webster's New World Dictionary the word Faithful implies allegiance to a person, cause, institution, etc. which one feels morally bound to support or defend. Other synonyms include dedicated, steadfast, devoted, dependable, accurate, true, conscientious, dutiful, careful, scrupulous and thorough. On the other hand, Faithless means "not keeping faith; dishonest; disloyal; unreliable; undependable; unbelieving."
Unfortunately we are living at a time where self-gratification is the norm. Like the hamburgers we order; why should we have to wait? Why deny ourselves of saving and buying things later when we can charge it on credit now? Why do we have to make sacrifices by being honest to our friends and true to our marriage? Today many justify sin just because everybody else is doing it.
It was not too long ago when a person's word was his bond and a handshake would seal a deal. Faithlessness is playing a major role in this destruction of our nation but as Christians we must take a stand. Being Christ-centered and faithful is not easy, but it’s worth it! After all, eternity is forever and ever!
The following are some questions about faith to share:
Our God is faithful so it our responsibility to imitate Him by being faithful, trustworthy dependable and reliable. How can we win the trust of others in our community?
You were supposed to help a friend repair his house. However, due to unforeseen circumstances you do not have the time and materials to finish the work. What can you do to keep his trust?
It still says, “In God We Trust” on U.S. coins. What does this saying mean? Why are people losing faith in our monetary system? What can be done about it?
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot disown Himself."
