Kayla Dawn: Her Story.!

A girl shares her story.

My name is Kayla Dawn King.  I am seven years old.  I live with my Mommy and Daddy (as well as my big sister, Reatha, 9, and my little sister, Julie Anne, 6) in Parma, Ohio, which is near Cleveland.  I was born here; have lived in Ohio all my life.

I am giong to be going into the second grade next month.  I can't wait; I love school!  I am bored with summer vacation; I want to see my friends and my teachers again!

When I grow up I want to be an astronaut and go to the moon, or maybe become a TV weather person, like my daddy does.  My daddy is a weatherman; he does the weather when one of the main weather people get sick or can't do the weather.  I'm hoping he becomes a famous weatherman; they make some serious money!  Then we can move to a bigger house and everything!  And maybe get a dog.  I've always wanted a dog!

I'd like to be a mommy and have four kids: two boys and two girls.  I'd name 'em Ashley, Kristy (the girls), Corky, and Jacob (the boys).  I have a cousin named Jacob; he's three and is in a wheelchair.  He was born with something called CP (I can't spell the name of what he has; it's easier just to say the letters).  He cannot talk either.  I feel sorry for him, but I still love him, just the same.

At school, my best friend is Miranda Louise Johnston.  I hope I see her this year.  She has been in Switzerland, visiting her Daddy; her daddy and mommy got divorced and her daddy moved to Switzerland.  Miranda lives near me with her Mommy and her little baby brother, Lancelot Raymond, who is called EllRay for short.  He's the same age as Jacob, my cousin.

I like to do many things.  I like to pretend that Im a princess, a weather girl, or an astronaut, go to the amusement park (Cedar Point; they have a ton of rides there that I can ride!), sing, dance, play the piano (I've taken lsssons since I was three; I'm getting pretty good, according to Ms. Petronelli, my piano teacher), and play with my friends outside.

Well, I'm gonna go eat lunch; Mommy made hot dogs and mac and cheese (my favorite!).  Then I'm gonna play with my sisters; it's raining out, so we can't go outside to play.  I hope you liked my story about myself.  Take care; bye for now!

~Kayla Dawn.  :)
