Rebekka Rachel takes Ronee's cue and writes her feeling about memorial day...

Memorial day to me, means celebrating those people who served for our country, especially those who die, it means taken the time to thank God for the people who allowed my great grandparents to escape from the grips of Hitlers Hell, and come to America.  In the old country Jews were peresecuted, and being Jews my family was persecuted, that was not so much the case in America, although even America has those who persecute, but not like Germany and Russia during the Holocaust, even Israel was not full of the peresecution.

When Memorial Day comes around I try to take extra special care in thinking about those who sacrficed for me, but I try to do that throughout the year, because the Veterans deserve to be celebrated every day of the year.

Mom tells me stories of what it was like for our family during the Holocaust, how they suffer in camps like Auschwitz and Bergen Belsen, she tells me this, because she wants me to know the past, no matter how painful it is, some people think Mamma is wrong for telling me this, but I am grateful, because it gives me a grater appreciation for the lives my family members led before me.

May we never forget those who served, lived and died for us.
