Boy #1: Look Up! Did you see THAT??
Boy #2: Yes, I sure did! What in the heck was THAT??
Boy #1: I think it was a meteor streaking across the sky! Or it could have been a plane on its way to---
Boy #2: DON'T say that!! God, you'll give me nightmares to end ALL nightmares!
Boy #1: What did you THINK I was gonna' say? That the plane was gonna' crash?--
Boy #2: Yeah...
Boy #1: Well, if it HAD been a plane, you idiot, you'd have already heard the crash by now, or seen a fireball; and there was nothing of the sort; so it was probably just a plain ol' meteor!
Boy #2: OOH! Look! There goes another one!! Wow, that thing sure was BRIGHT!!
Boy #1: Yeah, well ever since I went to Spaceweather.com on the computer...
Boy #2: SpaceWHO??
Boy #1: Spaceweather.com. It lets people know about things that are going on in our solar system, things like meteor showers, northern lights, eclipses of the sun or moon, what planets to look for, different moon phases, you know--the stuf that goes on in space. It can notify you by computer or by phone if you sign up for the services. My dad's always been a space freak, so we regularly check our computer for the latest "space happenings"; when something DOES happen, well, then dad and we kids'll go outside, where we then watch the nighttime sky. It 's a lot of fun, and you always see so much once your eyes get used to the darkness!
Boy #2: Well, thanks for...Oh! Oh!! OH!!! CRIKEY, that was about as bright as the sun!! That meteor probably could be visible to the BLIND!! (Laughter erupts from both boys.)
~~The End.~~
