I was born in Panama City, Florida, but raised all over the United States; at least that's what it seemed like when I had to list the eighteen schools I'd attended in my college application.
My brothers, sister, and I learned to adapt to new places. We experienced our first hurricane in Charleston, South Carolina, a tornado in the panhandle of Texas, and I discovered how much I disliked snow while living in Hampton, Virginia. I also watched rocket launches from Cape Canaveral, saw the sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge, and spent three of my high school years in San Diego, California, before relocating to the horse country of Ramona.
I’m married, and though my two sons are grown now, we spent our summers vacationing all over the United States. Wanderlust? Perhaps. Or it could simply be the the magical experience of discovering something new and claiming as you your own--I've woven some of those years of discovery and new experiences into my fictional characters’ backgrounds. I hope you enjoy the journeys as much as I do!
In addition to being a novelist, Connie has worked as an editor, administrative assistant, fragrance consultant, ghostwriter, legal/medical transcriptionist, dog groomer, and belly dancing instructor.
