What little girl hasn't pretended to be a princess? I certainly have. I've been influenced by everything from movies to TV to books. If I had to pick one major influence, it would have to be those sweeping costume pics that appear on PBS and cable television. The images have remained forever imprinted in my psyche. I was born in New Orleans, a picturesque site in its own right, and raised pretty much all along the Mississippi River. When in school I originally wanted to be a psychologist, and when I first entered college that was my intent. However, my desire to write crystallized further in my sophomore year, which led to changing my major.

One of the projects I would really like to work on is a book set in the Antebellum South.
