As a young child, I had a love of fiction instigated and cultivated in me by my beloved grandmother and I have written in some form or another for what seems like forever. Starting with poetry, I finally ventured into fiction. My motivation is that I have something to say and I use fiction as my vehicle to be heard.
Besides my grandmother, my major influences have been writers like Kate Chopin and Daphne Du Maurier, more contemporarily Dean Koontz. I credit Judy Blume with helping me get through adolescence.
I am compelled to write and I feel most personally fulfilled when I have created something on paper that others feel compelled to read.
