Being Terminated for Poetry in Alabama, it forced me to live a dream with retirement funds. They banned me at first from writing, posting any Poetry 24/7, including my own home. The German Corporation said, "Don’t tell anyone, we will highly recommend you, because of your work for the company." I said, "Why not, I believe in the truth." They did not like that reply, but why live in a lie in live.

I am in costume of Ben Franklin here beside my car that was bought a month before I was Terminated for Poetry. My sweetheart here lifts up my spirits, and is still in there beside me, comforting my p-ride, together being licensed as an Alabama Support The Arts “POETS” tag. To have a license with POETS on it may have contributed to my Termination. I pray that I will be able to keep her driving spirit alive, along my side, as my poetic budget looks at a spiraling government cost of Big Oil inflation.
I started writing poetry to let the imagery inside come alive inside reflection of Vietnam rants. Soon verses and thoughts were flowing out freely, so much that at times, I will just jot them down on the fly, to then, analyze later.
I love the HeArt of the American Artmosphere of poetry and its floating imagery emotions that it has created in me, as I walk along the winding paths writing roller coaster verse. I am writing in the De-termination now that I must succeed. Since I lost my job because of poetry, I now must attempt to climb the mountain of my trails and tribulations. I have faith that my path of scars is blessed upon those words that live in the HeArt of artistic creation. I could get another job, but I fear that they would again take my love of poetry and have me censored into silence, inside my home again, and on the Internet again, like they did before. But my home is about the Civil Liberties, where a Liberal artist can use the art of self expression to open minds to their own interpretations. But in certain areas of America, being a teacher of a Free Speech mind, carries the risk of being labeled.
To fail is to never have tried, so one will fail, fail, fail among momentary successes, to find that wealth inside the HeArt of accomplishment in seeing words further up the inclining trail.
It is a lonely road of motel rooms having given up a permanent home, trying to find that voice to call home.

I now reside somewhere in America not on company time working as a self-employed poet. I write under David L. Young, there is another David Young, who is a great poet.
I write in many poetic voices expressing diverse American views inside the use of Free Speech that must question things seeking out the TRUTH within. You must then let you mind decide on your own interpretation. The motivational teacher never instructs the answer, it let the student research that by their independent reasoning.
I am on a ride across America using my Crossfire convertible to seek the right community to relocate to, which believes in the right of free speech, and who has free spirited artists, who I can relate to openly in discussing things without fear of someone taking offence to something that I say. I was in San Francisco, where its intoxicating spirit has cast a spell on me and elevated my writing up several notches. The cost of life there is extremely high, but my heart beats on its diverse Freedom and Democracy, which is found in its people that live here.
I may call myself a poet, but I know that I have a path not yet finished before me that maybe by the time that I have almost completed it, poets will again graced with on invitation to the White House. I just know I need those poetic teachers to elevate me and the support of those that are so dear to me, in believing I have some talent.
I have many dreams that are so much like fantasies. I pray I can help people in my words reaching them, on their own path upon their own goals. I wish I could help people later, if I get somewhat wealthy, who have inner needs and want to elevate themselves to a higher plane.
This American dream is a fantasy that I hope will see the enlightenment of truth someday. For truth is one the greatest tool a writer can have!
America needs to moderate from the extremes into the moderation of debate unifying a nation not dividing it.
