Background Information

Always a lover of things Irish, I wanted to capture the story of my immigrant ancestor for future generations of my family. Turning it into a novel allowed me to breathe life into the characters and broaden the appeal. My approach was influenced heavily by Michael Shaara's Killer Angels. My love of history, its fascinating characters, and its lessons to be learned drive my writing.

Accomplishments

Best Books Award Finalist, USA BOOK NEWS 2006;
Finalist, National Indie Excellence Book Awards 2007; Arizona Book Publishing Association Book Awards 2007

Additional Information

I am currently writing a new novel about the captain of the largest sailing ship ever built. His life and the tragic last voyage of the 400 foot Thomas Lawson test character against the forces of nature.
