Debi Henbest Fairchild is the oldest of five children, two brothers and two sisters. Her dad came from a family of eight brothers and sisters, with him being the youngest and her mom the oldest of two. Born in a small town in the Ozarks where practically everyone is related to her dad. She has a whole lot of adventures to tell.

Debi started writing poetry in elementary school when she finished her homework. Her history teacher caught her one day and was amazed at what she wrote in class. He asked her how she came up with her ideas and she remarked from the dictionary. She learned new words that way. So the teacher gave her extra credit to write some poetry for him and he chose the words for her. That's how her passion for words started.
