Debra D. Sawyer is Founder and Editor-In-Chief of Lady Ingenuity Magazine Online. She is a youth mentor and through DiaShah Press LLC she has formed a "Youth Author Sponsorship Program" which takes young writers into publication at no cost. The first group to be sponsored by DiaShah Press LLC is The AlphA-Men Male Mentors. Their book entitled: Against All Odds (In print) is a collection of written prose from the male perspective. The all female group, the "JustUs Project", has written a book of short stories relative to health, crisis, sexual abuse and other topics exclusive to women of all ages. The third group consists of three college students who collaborated to write their first book entitled: UNBROKEN, dedicated to a fellow student who was murdered as a result of mistaken identity. Some of the proceeds from "Unbroken" book sales will be donated to The Offie R. Dennis Scholarship Fund.
Ms. Sawyer's dedication and literary approach in youth mentoring along with the academic and athletic expertise of her Co-Mentors, Charles Wicks, Kevin Johnson, Coach H. Jackson and social worker, Ms. Suzann DaCosta, has had a direct impact upon participants, their families and within communities.

Accomplishments: Prior to becoming a Novelist, Ms. Sawyer worked in the field of Intellectual Property Law as an ABA (American Bar Association) Paralegal. She holds a degree in Criminal Justice and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Paralegal Studies.
