Born in 1960 to an unwed mother,I was adopted when I was four months old by family members. I grew up with the sense of not belonging. That is what led me to express myself in written words. I am happily married with four grown children and one grandson and currently reside in Birmingham, AL.

Most of my poetry is dark, life poetry. It comes from the heart. It reflects who I am and where I've been.
