My name is Dian Ramsey and I am interested in using my skills as a writer and a Christian to create books and stories mainly for children that will enable them to better live their lives in a more positive way.  I love children and I teach 6th grade children in Sunday school and in vacation Bible School in my church.  I also teach future Certified Nursing Assistants in our community college.  My experiences in teaching, chruch work and mission trips have given me a basis for writing books and stories that will give children a better understanding of this world that we live in today.  My parents taught me to always do my best and to keep God right out in front of me.  My parents and my belief in God give me my inspiration to write. 

I have a BA in Education and an ADN degree in nursing. I have been nursing for 25+ years mainly in Intensive Care. I have a certification in Parish Nursing I teach in the college setting and I also do testing for CNA's for the state. I have several certifications in nursing. I am an accomplished vocalist and instrumentalist. I am very active in my church. I am the church clerk, a Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, hostess committee, finance committee and serve in outreach for our church. I have gone on home mission and foreign mission trips.

I have just recently recieved a diploma from the Institute of Children's Literature. I am presently writing a blog on the Hem of His garment doing a Children's Bible study. I am posted on Helium.com. I have written several stories for children of all ages. Blibber Blubber which is the history of bubble gum. Look Out Giant Here I Come which is the story of David and Goliath told by the stones that killed Goliath. I have written a story about Moses in which me and a group of children travel with him as he journeys through the red sea on dry ground. Personal events in my life about going to my grandmother's house to rake leaves and roast hotdogs and marsh mellow on the fire and making Christmas candy with my mother when I was 6 years old. I have written fiction stories for small children and for older children. One was called The Big Splash about two bear cubs and a duck that had a bubble bath party one afternoon at the little bear's house. The other one was about a young boy who was 12 and his father was a safari leader and for his birthday he sent his son a safari to find all his presents and when he was done his father told him he had earned a safari trip with him.
