Major life influences include cultural background of his native Ireland and growing up in America's Heartland side-by-side with Swedish and Germanic influences.
Author's life journey has been as a journalist, corporate executive and lawyer. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Juris Doctor, both at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, bookended a stint in the United States Army.
Goal still remains to visit the four states he's not set foot on. These are Alaska and four northeastern states.
Writing to him has become a "to be" in life, not a "to do." The obligations and responsibilities in life have been reordered to create the room to write. The magnet on the refrigerator says to enjoy the journey. The biblical quotation from Jeremiah 29:11-12.
Accomplishments: Most recent, completion of course at University of Iowa Writer's Workshop in Iowa City. This UNESCO City of Literature has honored his novel, A Body To Bones, with shelving in its Public Library mystery section. Second novel, The Bones Dance Foxtrot, recently published.
