I continue to create because writing is a labour of love and also an act of defiance, a way to light a candle in a gale wind. Alice Childress (1920–1994)

Poetry is a reflection of the human soul

Take my hand,
walk with me,
share my dreams,
but never be afraid
to live yours! ...
Elga

The love of words and the English language, has been ever present.  The idea of  stringing words together which will form beauty, that the eyes, mind,  heart and  soul can savour and feast upon, is poetry within poetry.

We should all understand that in life, disappointments and situations will test our  strength of character.  We require knowledge and the courage of our convictions to hold our heads high, and show the world, that we can still smile  and succeed  through adversities.  We can't change who we are, we should never seek to do so, but rather, always remember to be open and receptive ...

"If you view all the things that
happen to you, both good and
bad, as opportunities,  then
you operate out of a higher
level of consciousness."

~ Les Brown~

"If you have built castles in
the air,  your work need not
be lost; that is where they
should be.  Now put
foundations under them."

~ Henry David Thoreau~
