I've at least fifty years of tales to tell, so nows the time to do the telling. All I need is pen and paper and some more time.

Background
Information

I grew up reading books. We lived in the middle of nowhere on a ranch with none of the niceities of city living. When we weren't roaming the hills playing cowboys and indians I was piled up on the bed reading Nancy Drew or Ellery Queen Mysteries. My grandfather was a newspaper man and the summers I spent with them involved working at the newspaper. You might say there's a little printers ink in my blood. From the time I read Zane Greys "Betty Zane" I have wanted to be a writer so here I am.

Accomplishments
Starting out late in life the only award I have is the reward and satisfaction of sharing what I write with a few friends and fellow writers. If I can bring pleasure in reading to one person that is what I strive for.

Additional Information
I have written poetry and short stories and have two long works in the making. One is a historical novel of a family opening the territory of Ohio and their struggles along the way. A fiction of a true story. The other is a western. I hope to have it finished soon and will look for a market.
