Elysabeth Eldering, a 46-year-old mother of three, lives in a small town near Greenville, South Carolina, where she is an active member of Sisters in Crime and the South Carolina Writer’s Workshop.
Her first story was written on a dare and she self-published a small collection of short stories. Elysabeth's short stories "Train of Clues" and "The Proposal" both placed a shared second on Armchair Interviews' contests, "The Tulip Kiss" and "Butterfly Halves" were selected as winner and runner up selections for Echelon Press's Fast and … contests, and "Bride-and-Seek" was selected to appear in the SCWW anthology, the Petigru Review. She has written an article on self-publishing and editing that was published on the Armchair Interviews site. Her upcoming series, the Junior Geography Detective Squad series, is loosely based on the original "Train of Clues" story, following four friends in their game playing adventure while learning about the states.
Elysabeth also edits novels for her friends and has been an editor with a now defunct magazine, creating, selecting and editing the stories to be published in the magazine. She has been a judge two years running for the Derringer awards. When she isn't busy with writing involved activities, she is a proud band parent and attends marching band competitions to see her kids perform.
