My name is EPFierro and I have been writing for almost 25 years. (My grandfather must have known that I would be a teller of stories. He would sit me on his lap while I entertained him with stories.) Through the years I have continued to tell stories - as well as write them. Writing is like ... breathing. It is therapeutic, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. If I don't get these thoughts and ideas and stories onto some type of written medium, I will EXPLODE!
Along with Notes to a Song out of Time, I have written some short stories, another as-of-yet unpublished novel and a children's story. (I'm working up the nerve to find an agent for this one!!) Oh, yeah, there are also three other novels in various phases of near-completion that pull at me. Currently, I have completed a western entitled "Death Rides to Eagle Pass". Right now I'm letting it "stew" a little before I take it out, read it, remove the parts that don't belong and then - it's off to find an agent....
My writing interests range from dramatic fiction, action/adventure, Westerns, thrillers, Children's and short stories. Welcome to my website.....

Notes to a Song out of Time - a story of love found and love lost - describes the pure joy and happiness of falling in love with THE ONE. That love, though, is ripped apart by a seemingly friendly and faceless addiction that is fed by the protagonists, James and Miriam. But will their love survive? Or will it be torn apart by a force greater than anything they could have imagined?

Set in Texas just after the annexation, this Western tells the dramatic story of how one family is affected by that historic event. Oblivious to the annexation, the Guzman family raises horses for the Mexican Army and experiences first-hand the ugliness of greed and avarice: the greed of the Mexican government in selling Texas and not informing the populace, and the avarice of those who would take advantage of that greed and resort to murder in order to steal from others. The protagonist, Andres Guzman, returns to seek revenge against those who kill his family and steal his inheritance.
I am also working on some thrillers that spotlights a recurring character, Andres Guzman, who works his way up from police officer to detective to federal agent. Andres Guzman (the protagonist in "Death Rides to Eagle Pass") shares a direct bloodline connection with Andres Guzman, the modern law enforcement hero in "The Family Man", "Hormones & Bullets", "The Women of Hawthorne Drive" and a score of short stories that will soon be published.
