I am inspired by many things in my life, but first and foremost my background. As a African Carribbean/African Hispanic woman I draw from both sides. Quotes drive me ALOT the few words that people speak can take me very far. I like to write about the struggles and acheivements in life, I like to tell vivid stories about sex, love, sadness and happiness all rolled into one. My first novel(Pick of The Litter) is about a young affluent hard working woman who runs a fashion line, she has a wonderful family and friends but most of all she has a GREAT sex life.
I have a very vivid imagination and most of my writing comes from the fantasies in my head. I build my stories around any situation, I can take a word and build a story around it; It's something I have done my whole life. Writing has kept me sane over the years, I like that fact that I am able to look back at critique my own work. I was a very unhappy child and teen, writing allowed me to get out my thoughts, it was my own way of talking to myself via paper and pencil.
When I was younger I would have very vivid dreams about things in life that I had yet to experience, I would wake up in the morning and write the dreams verbatim in a notebook and then share them with my best friend, I knew at that time writing would be a very important part of my life it allowed me to say things to people that I could not express verbally whether good or bad. I LOVE TO WRITE!!!
