"Make visible what, without you, might never have been seen." - Robert Bresson-French film director ~~~~~ "Meaning is not in things but in between; in the iridescence, the interplay: in the interconnections; at the intersections, at the crossroads. Meaning is transitional as it is transitory, in the puns or bridges, the correspondence." — Mallarmé***

I grew up in the Midwest, in a small city in Wisconsin's heartland, where farms, silos and cows were everyday sights. A tiny bit of a rebel when young, I traveled to Washington with a few friends to be a cherry picker, lived in Seattle streets a few months in 1978, and drove through many Western US states around this youthful time. I enjoyed living just east of Colorado's gorgeous mountains in Longmont, CO for several years, and now reside in the equally lovely southeastern Arizona mountains, in a large copper mining community. I was fortunate enough to live 2 blocks from my small city library where I happily spent hours, checking for interesting titles and bringing home armfuls of books at a time. My Uncle, Jim Doriot, would bring me SciFi, Sword and Sorcery and Fantasy books that he had read. I had piles of them, numerous authors, wonderful worlds, magical creatures, infinite lessons...

A NEW CULTURE OF PEACE
International and Multilingual Website: A NEW CULTURE OF PEACE FROM SOCIAL HARMONY AND CHILDREN’S PRIORITY YES - TO HARMONIOUS PEACE FROM THE INFORMATION AND SOCIAL PRIORITY OF CHILDREN NO - TO WARS, TERRORISM AND POVERTY FROM INDUSTRIAL DISHARMONY The International, Cosmopolitan, Multicultural and InterdisciplinaryWebsite is a daughter Website of the International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace: IFLAC PAVE PEACE. This remarkable organization, and especially the tireless work of its founder and president, Professor Ada Aharoni, a true global citizen, have inspired us to start this Website “Peace from Harmony and Children’s Priority” Key definition: A new culture of peace, preventing wars, terrorism and poverty, is generated when a natural order of social harmony gives priority to the well-being of children, parents, and caregivers, who make up 50 to 80% of the population in any given country. These groups are basically peace-loving, and provide the social foundation for a harmonious, new culture of peace. Mahatma Gandhi wrote: "If we are ever to have real peace in this world we shall have to begin with the children." Website’s Mission: To build a harmonious, new culture of peace and its social foundation by means of the new Global Movement “Making Children a Priority in the World" Our site is open to all persons and organizations sharing this mission. Dr Leo Semashko ISSS, IFLAC Russia and Website www.peacefromharmony.org Director

Riding The Cyclone (WARNING: Graphic and explicit material)
This is my friend, Jenn, who has opened my eyes and changed my life. I encourage everyone to read her story.~~~~~ My name is Jennifer Sloan. I am a 24 year old single mother/survivor of rape, physical, psychological, emotional, sexual, and substance abuse. The writings on these pages are from my experiences in life. I will warn you now that they are not pleasant, nor are they blatantly graphic (with the exception of the True To Life series, in which I have attempted to put my memories down as accurately as I can).
