I live in North East England. I hold a long outdated BA Degree (hons) in Humanities, my main subjects being literature and history with a splurge of sociology and a dash of politics. I worked briefly for The Department Of Education in a dark dreary office, but left before I died of acute boredom. I've never been that good at holding down a regular job, as I dislike imposed routines that I have no control over.
I've always loved reading, everything from the classics to comic books. I have a particular penchant for romance novels. Reading for me has always been about escape...escaping to more exciting realms.
I write a variety of styles of fiction from poems to literary stories to erotica, but mainly I write to express my interest in power exchange relationships. My stories are pure entertainment, often humorous and insightful and not hardcore by any means, no heavy sex scenes, the discipline or potential for discipline provides the erotic undercurrent to the stories. Basically my stories are about love and life. Love, affection and respect are not gender exclusive, they occur between same sex partners just as much as between man and woman. I whole heartedly support the right of gay men and women to marry.
I have written under a variety of pen names, but settled on Fabian Black, mainly due to a typo, when I first dabbled in self-publishing. For the record, like so many writers of M/M romance fiction, I'm not male, I'm female, more Fabia than Fabian.
