I have been writing since childhood, but it was not until I had children that I discovered that writing is what I was put on Earth to do.
My first novel, Justin Flowers and the Orb of Time, was inspired from the nightly bedtime stories I told my children. But, it was not until my wife suggested publishing the stories that I realized that this, writing for children, is what I enjoy the most!
Some people know that they will be doctors or airplane pilots from birth. I, on the other hand, took 34 years to figure out that spinning a story for a child’s imagination is my calling.

College provided me with my first portal for publication. As a newspaper reporter and editorial columnist I learned to appreciate the power of the written word; and how others treated it. The next stone on my path came as an adrenalin draining stint as a creative director and copy writer for a well known southern advertising agency – where I helped pull in a few ADDY awards. Although fun, it burned me out.
In 1995 I discovered this new thing called the Internet – yes, I happened to be one of the first to have an email address at AOL and Mindspring (now Earthlink). This lead to my first webpage, where I have been giving away children’s stories for free.

I am excited about the release of my first novel for middle grade and young adult readers entitled, Justin Flowers and the Orb of Time. PublishAmerica, Inc. ISBN 1-59286-530-5. Release date is NOW.
Justin Flowers and the Orb of Time is the premier book in a series that will serve to launch a second series about Justin’s little sister, Audrey Flowers.
I am currently putting the finishing touches on the second book, Justin Flowers and the Land of Mystic Time, and have begun the first book in his sister’s series, Audrey Flowers and the Revolution of Time.
As a bridge between all books, I will be adding an online only novelette e-book series in July, 2003. I will include a great deal of the 'back story' surrounding Justin Flowers and his family.
