The Dancing Porch is deceptive in the name. This is a story of love, but also one of hate and fatal consequences. The story was written with some of my experiences wrapped aroiund fantasies and is not about any person I have known. I spent most of my life seeking new adventures including employment changes to liven my life. I have been involved in auto racing, sports, community player grouips and radio sales and newscasting, and in between an insurance investigator. I have been an announcer as a part time vocation with greyhound kennel club racing and have recorded several country songs some of which were original material. I have been a volunteer firefighter with the rank of chief at a young age and I lived in jail for over 3 years with my parents as my father was the jailer in a small town where the residence was a part of the facility. I have traveled the USA and Canada in my capacity as Executive Director of a Community Redevelopment Agency utilizing federal funds and have met and dealt with many prominent politicians includng former President Bill Clinton and the former governor of Florida, Lawton Chiles as well as the former governor of WV, Cecil Underwood in his earlier years to mention a few.
I was honored with the Community Service Award with a lifetime/career achievement award in 2002. I developed a program utilizing investigations and subsequent fraud charges in public housing and was honored as having the number One Agency Nationally for Best Practices as presented by Andrew Cuomo.as well as top One Hundred for Family Self Sufficiency Program. There are other goals I have achieved, but the one I wish now to conquer is writing novels. My first novel, The Dancing Porch was not properly edited and released prematurely by me in error. It is a good story and I believe has some merit in the area of one person remaining true to their teachings and beliefs even at the cost of losing the persons most loved. It is a good read with a twist that will surprise when exiting the story.

I have several achievements as oulined in my bio and some that have not been mentioned. However, the one that has eluded me has been an award for writing novels and I will continue to seek that as my primary goal.

I have begun a story about a new character I have developed who is involved as a contractor for Homeland Security and owns a small radio station in Southwest Fl.
I have completed except final editing a 600 plus page novel titled Illegitimate and will shop it to publishers and or agents soon.

Illegitimate=completed not yet published
Story of ambitious young man growing into manhood with strong ambitions of becoming the governor of his state. Always fighting his illness, usually involved in personal problems due to his overacive hormones and often off his medication, causing chaos in his life and life of others. Descriptive sexual experiences, limited vulgarity and mild descriptive violence. None is done for shock effect, all a part of the characters and story.

A story of a young man with unusual duties beinning at age 14 filling role of his father as jailer and with the additional duties beginning at age 16 of fire chief of the volunteer fire deparment manned by high school students for a town of 3,500 and a county of approx. 15,000. both while living in residence attached to jail. Humorous fiction with information based on real life of protagonist. Some mildly described violence.
