Harry. G. Potter, The Master of Planets Trilogy

Background Information

"SO it is my  name, SO what...

His writing of epic fantasy stories has developed twenty five years, since college, 1986, when Harry began the Fall of Nystol, which has become the historic plot-context of The Master of Planets Trilogy. It was only a 50 page story for his dungeon games, the demise of the wizard city Nystol, but in the many years since he has refined the tale and his  writing transforming it into an Apocalyptic trilogy.

description of the first book:

MASTER OF PLANETS trilogy BOOK I: The young monk Hortebian feels an irresistable urge to adventure, to run away to become a noble knight. Lost in the forest, a band of dwarves introduces him to the underworld and reveals how his monk's knowledge is very needed. He returns to the monks and is found with what appears to be a grimore. Accused of witchcraft and unable to defend himself, he is stripped of his monastic rights. He escapes the inquistion and dauns chainmail to travel the Furth continent with a Sorcerer to find the staff of truth. Only Hortebian knows how to translate Eldark tomes, the key to the mysterious conspiracy which betrayed the ancient wizard-city Nystol and which now threatens the world. Can he live with thought that God has failed the race of men? Or is it that men have failed God? And when it all ends will he turn in his friend the Sorcerer to the Inquisition?

Apocalyptic, a fantasy horde of story with its anchorage on earth, in metaphysic, and in faith.

the phantasmogoric of Dante's Inferno

an array of mythopoesis, legend-crafting

Largeness, GREATNESS: here read MASSy TALEs OF HIGH ExPLOIT, BETRAyALS, MAGIC, LAyERED MysteRy

Recent PRogress NOTIFICATIONs

FeBruary2008 on Gnome's Horde from Harry: I have just got a quite serious inspiration for a Wizard Tale that MUST be included for the Gnome's Horde. I have added now 50 pages in the last month.

April2008: Its been a couple of months now, and the fifty extra pages have increased substantially. However I am suffering writer's block. Please pray for me to finish the Gnome's Horde. Thank you.

August 2008 I have made some considerable advances in plot structure, reworking et cetera, still going strong. I must let it sit a while

October 2008. Considerable progress, notable editing and plot understanding into view. Just a few more scenes and I can pull the monstrous thing together. Its over 700 pages now. Heavy editing must ensue. God determines when I create. I will need to create a trilogy format. I hope civilization will not end before I finish!

September 2009. Progress has been slower, however this month I have been concentrating on creating greater clarity in language, and re-arranging the opening so that it starts with action, the capture of Orbius. Some great innovative edits in the past year, and I have decided to cut out many extraneous story lines. I am thinking that it might be best to not have a trilogy.

December 2009  Granted special insight into brother Orbian's character and his fall from grace and the realization that this is the identity of the monk-Assassin in the Second Book of the Trilogy.  DEO GRATIAS. Also Decided to isolate the Gnomes' Horde, a series of short stories comparable to The Silmarillion in breadth, (including the Fall of Nystol), from the story line of Orbius. It is just too much to expect the reader to follow Orbius' story-line and all the short-story sub-plots simultaneously.

July 2010 Went back to work on the Trilogy. The entire Nagamaud Amulet has been cut, and other periphial story lines will be cut soon. I really dont like the pirate seen. I do not want pirates in the story. I had been burned out for several months. I can see many errors which were invisble before.

January 2010: Great progress on the first book of the trilogy. Some excellent plot reversals figured out. Our monk is accused of witchcraft. The main character renamed Hortebian. He will struggle with God and turn against God only to find his redemption in return to God.

February 2011: Slowly but surely!  ...huge plot reversals. Things are starting to become more clarified. Working on the dilemma of duty theme. Hortebian will have the dilemma of turning in Arizel to the Inquisition.
